Balladi votive candleholder designed by Jorma Vennola and made in Finland between 1984 and 1991 by Iittala glassworks. The piece is made from mould blown glass with a softly sandblasted surface and retains its original Iittala label and box.
Balladi has an architectural character, with clear arched windows set into the frosted glass walls. When a candle is lit inside, the window motifs become especially visible and give the compact form the appearance of a small illuminated building.
