Large Satellite (H:29.5 cm) series vase by Bertil Vallien for Kosta Boda, made in limited edition. Each vase from the Artist Collection was individually created and signed, making every example unique.

The Satellite Series

Introduced in 1992, Satellite captures the feeling of looking through shifting layers of light and space. Deep cobalt blue forms the foundation, while silver leaf, mineral textures and scattered accents appear suspended within the glass.

As the vase turns, the composition changes continuously.

Hand Made Swedish Glass

This vase was made by hand at Kosta Boda, one of Sweden's most celebrated glassworks. The decoration required multiple stages during production, combining coloured glass with metallic inclusions before the final shaping.

Bertil Vallien

For decades Bertil Vallien has been one of the defining figures of Scandinavian art glass. His sculptures and vessels are represented in museums and major private collections throughout Europe, North America and Asia.
