Large vintage pendant necklace with an open metalwork and a bright enamel centre. The brutalist design with rough textured edges, irregular openings and a sense of movement around the central disc. Made in Finland, 1970s.
The round enamel element brings a sharp contrast to the dark silver tone metal. Warm amber, red, white and small green details create an effect close to a small star field or a burning planet.
Design and Character
The pendant is built around contrast: raw metal against glossy enamel, open structure against a dense central colour field, heavy visual form against a wearable chain length. The outer metal frame looks almost organic, like coral, mineral growth or a fragment from another landscape.
