Substantial vintage ceramic table lamp with finely painted decoration in warm ochre, terracotta and deep brown tones. The rounded body is organised into horizontal bands, with delicate scrolling leaves and stylised floral forms painted around the surface.
The decoration in Art Deco style. The ceramic surface retains visible traces of the making and painting process, giving the lamp an individual handmade appearance.
The lamp dates approximately from the 1940s to 1950s, likely made in Finland.
The original style Bakelite lamp holder remains in place. The electrical cord is more recent than the ceramic lamp body. The lamp is fully functional.
The pink shade shown in the photographs is used for presentation and is not included. The light bulb is also not included.
