Set of 4 blue Pikku-Matti cordial glasses, model 1628, designed by Helena Tynell for Riihimäen Lasi in 1969 to 1970.
Each glass combines a textured blue body with a substantial clear base, and large circular motif on the side.
Despite their small 6 cl capacity, these glasses have considerable visual presence. The heavy base and irregular textured surface make them especially attractive when grouped together, where the repetition of the circular decoration becomes part of the design.
Suitable for liqueurs, schnapps and other small servings, they also work well as collectible Finnish glass displayed on an open shelf or cabinet.
