Set of 3 vintage Kartio glasses designed by Kaj Franck for Iittala, one of the enduring forms of Finnish glass design. The set includes three different colours: rich green, deep blue and light turquoise.
The simple tapered shape gives the glasses a remarkably clear presence.
Kaj Franck and Kartio
Kaj Franck designed the Kartio series in 1958. Its direct geometric form became closely associated with the practical modernism of Finnish design, where proportion, colour and everyday use were given equal importance.
Kartio remained in production for decades, appearing in numerous colours.
