Kaj Franck Nuutajärvi | 5 Rustica drinking glasses

A set of five vintage drinking glasses from the Rustica series, designed by Kaj Franck for Nuutajärvi in the late 1960s. Their cylindrical form is simple and practical, while the closely spaced horizontal ribs give the glass a strong visual rhythm and a pleasant grip.

The set works well for water, juice, cocktails and everyday table use. The compact size also makes the glasses easy to combine with other Finnish tableware.

Smoky Grey Glass

The colour is a subtle grey with a faint green tone that changes with the light. In brighter surroundings the glasses appear almost transparent and lightly tinted. Against a darker surface the lower sections become deeper.

Kaj Franck is one of the central figures in Finnish modern design. His work often focused on useful objects with clear proportions and a strong understanding of material.
