Bronze Ladybird brooch by Kalevala Koru, designed by Germund Paaer. The piece belongs to the company’s classic tradition of jewellery based on Finnish archaeological finds and forms associated with the Viking Age and early medieval period.
Its oval, slightly domed body is decorated with intersecting engraved lines and raised circular details, while symmetrical openwork elements extend from both ends.
Germund Paaer was Kalevala Koru’s long serving chief designer and created numerous pieces inspired by archaeological jewellery and objects found in Finland.
