Origami Swedish silver ring

Swedish modernist sterling silver ring made by Sigtuna Silversmedja in Sigtuna in 1991. The design is strongly geometric, with a broad angular body and raised intersecting planes forming a compact sculptural structure, resembling an origami. 

The unusual construction gives the ring a distinctly architectural character. Flat surfaces, sharp edges and angled sections create changing reflections across the silver as the ring moves on the hand.
