Vintage handmade brooch by Aarikka Finland featuring a large silver tone safety pin form combined with rounded wooden beads in deep charcoal black.

The wooden elements have a soft matte surface and a slightly warm undertone that becomes visible in natural light. Depending on the angle, the color shifts between black, graphite and dark brown. The surface still preserves the tactile feeling of natural wood grain beneath the finish.

Aarikka became internationally recognized for transforming simple wooden forms into jewelry and decorative objects with a distinctly Finnish character.

Design
