Wooden brooch by Aarikka Finland. The design is graphic and self-contained.
Design & Form The brooch is built around a sharp triangular silhouette with gently softened edges, recalling the geometric language of Art Deco. A polished wooden sphere is set offcentre on the black-stained surface, creating a controlled contrast between strict geometry and organic volume. The interplay of matte black wood and warm natural tones gives the piece a clear visual rhythm without excess detail.
Material & Craft Made from carved and finished wood, the brooch shows careful attention to surface treatment and proportion. The reverse is fitted with a secure metal pin, discreetly integrated into the form.
