Vintage handcrafted wooden brooch by Aarikka, made in Finland.

The brooch has a bright red geometric form, built from two long angled wooden elements with small round beads placed between them. The shape is sharp, light and dynamic, almost like a stylised arrow, a bird in flight or a small piece of abstract modernist sculpture.

The red colour is vivid and confident. It is not a flat plastic like red: the stained wood still shows fine grain under the colour, giving the surface more depth and texture.

Form and Design
The design is strongly graphic. Two red wooden lines move in the same direction, slightly separated, with the beads placed between them like small suspended accents. The brooch feels very 1970s in spirit, but still looks fresh with simple clothing.

It can be worn on a coat, wool jacket, linen dress, scarf or bag. The bright red tone works especially well against black, grey, navy, white and natural fabrics.

Colour and Material
The main colour is a clear warm red with visible wood grain. The beads vary in tone: one red bead, pale cream beads and golden natural wooden beads with darker grain marks. This combination makes the brooch more lively than a single colour piece.

The metal pin on the back is simple and functional, with an aged brass tone.
