Arabia Finland, Krokus series large bowl by Esteri Tomula, color version, 1978 to 1979.

Object
A wide serving bowl with a low, open form and a soft, rounded rim. The shape is simple and stable.

Around the body runs the Krokus decoration. Blue flowers rise between fine green stems and leaves, with white blooms opening in between. The pattern feels rhythmic and continuous, almost like a quiet field line moving around the form. The contrast between the deep blue and the light background gives it clarity even from a distance.

Design
