About the Piece
Rare Arabia Pro Arte ceramic bowl designed by Kati Tuominen-Niittylä, produced in Finland in 1996.
The bowl has a quiet, sculptural presence: low, wide and softly rounded, with a calm open form that lets the colour and surface do most of the work. The green tone sits somewhere between sea green, celadon and muted turquoise, changing slightly with the light.
The surface appears to be a satin matte speckled glaze. It is not fully glossy, and the fine granular texture gives the bowl a soft mineral quality.

Form and Colour
