Rectangular Murano glass vase by V. Nason & C., made in Italy in the 1970s. This piece belongs to the Avventurina line and stands out for its dense field of shimmering coppery inclusions suspended in deep black glass.
The strict four side form gives the vase a clean architectural look, the surface carries the rich, almost cosmic sparkle associated with aventurine glass. The contrast between the dark ground and the warm metallic flecks makes it decorative even when displayed on its own.
The original factory label is still present on the body: “AVVENTURINA V. Nason & C. Murano Italy”.
