Substantial vintage bronze pendant necklace designed by Finnish designer Pentti Sarpaneva, circa 1970s. The large open form combines smooth curved surfaces with a densely textured lower section and a row of rounded elements along the edge.
The contrast between polished bronze, darkened recesses and the strongly sculptural construction is characteristic of Sarpaneva’s jewellery design of the period.
