Enamel constellation brooch, Finland 1970s
Enamel constellation brooch, Finland 1970s
Overview
Handmade enamel brooch crafted in Finland in the 1970s. Copper base with layered enamel decoration. Period piece with a sculptural surface and strong graphic presence.
Design and Composition
The rectangular form is filled with a deep cobalt-blue enamel ground, broken by cloudy white structures that spread unevenly across the surface. Four raised circular elements sit above the base, varying slightly in size and tone. Their placement creates a compact cluster that recalls lunar discs, mineral formations, or microscopic cells suspended in motion. The contrast between glossy relief and mottled enamel gives the piece visual depth and tactile character.
