Antique hand cut crystal decanter with multicoloured decoration and original stopper.
An unusually vivid piece with vertical blue, amber and clear sections running through the body and stopper. The form combines heavy faceted crystal with painted and overlay decoration, creating an effect that changes constantly depending on light and viewing angle.
The neck is especially striking, built from three deeply cut amber crystal rings that catch reflections almost like jewellery. The stopper continues the same radial pattern, echoing the colours and geometry of the main body.
Its silhouette recalls decanters associated with the Regency period and later nineteenth century crystal work, though the exact dating remains uncertain. Most likely produced during the nineteenth century.

Design
Tall octagonal body with strong vertical facets and richly coloured panels.
The decoration shifts between transparency and saturated colour. Blue and green tones move through warm amber crystal, while the heavy cut surfaces create layered reflections inside the glass itself.
The stopper is particularly elaborate, with a starburst style cut pattern that mirrors the faceting below.
Viewed from different angles, the decanter almost changes character entirely.

Very good antique condition.
Natural traces of age and use consistent with antique crystal. No chips or cracks.
Light residue visible in the very bottom interior part of the decanter.
Minor surface wear to the underside from age and storage.
Atmosphere
A piece that immediately changes the feeling of a room.
Works beautifully with candlelight, darker wood interiors, maximalist spaces or collections of nineteenth century glass and crystal. Even empty, it behaves almost like a sculptural object because of the way the colour and cut surfaces interact with light.
