Overview
Handmade ash wood bowl, crafted in Europe, mid to second half of the 20th century. Elongated oval form with gently rising sides and a smoothly rounded rim. The profile is balanced and fluid, with clear geometric control visible in the curvature.
The underside is decorated with hand-carved texturing. The carved pattern wraps around the base in a rhythmic, scaled motif, giving the surface a sculptural presence. Interior surfaces show the natural grain of ash: layered growth rings, tonal variation from honey to deep brown, and subtle irregularities typical of hand shaping.
Traces of careful use are visible. Overall condition is very good vintage.
