Overview

Vintage trio of clear glass shot glasses from the Jurmo series, designed by Timo Sarpaneva for Iittala. The series has a calm, architectural shape, with a compact bowl raised on a solid foot. It feels simple at first glance, but the proportions are carefully worked out.

Design

The Jurmo glass has a strong low profile, a rounded bowl and a heavy clear stem that gives it balance in the hand. The thick foot catches light beautifully, creating deep reflections through the base and stem.

The shape is practical for spirits, liqueur or small aperitif servings, while still looking refined on the table. These glasses have the quiet precision associated with Finnish glass design of the late twentieth century.
