Kaj Franck Nuutajarvi, Art bottle 100 years Stockmann
Vintage art glass bottle in smoky grey color featuring a decorative motif of the Stockmann department store building in Helsinki. Designed by the renowned Nordic designer Kaj Franck.
Created in 1962 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the department store, produced in a limited edition. The decoration features a raised inscription: 1862 STOCKMANN 1962.
Handcrafted. Made at the Nuutajärvi glassworks, 1962.
Dimensions
Height is 14.5 cm, Length is 12 cm.
The bottle has two small marks from contact with an object while the glass was still hot after casting. This is a manufacturing characteristic occasionally found in hand-blown glass. It is not a sign of wear. Otherwise in excellent vintage condition.
