Elegant vintage ceramic vase pitcher made by Kupittaan Savi, one of Finland’s best known producers of art pottery. Its rounded body, tall narrow neck and sweeping handle create a graceful silhouette.
The entire surface is painted by hand with loose floral forms in muted green, ochre, brown and soft cream. The colours merge gently into the glaze, giving the decoration the appearance of faded leaves and garden flowers. Because the pattern was applied by hand, the vase has the individual character associated with Finnish studio ceramics.
