Overview
Vintage hand-woven wool raanu from northern Finland. Traditional Lapland textile used as a wall hanging, a cover for a chair or bench, or as a decorative wool accent in interior spaces.
The composition is structured through horizontal bands that gradually shift in color. Cool grey tones appear in the upper section and move toward warmer shades of orange, amber and red, ending in darker tones near the lower edge. The palette recalls the slow transition of light during an Arctic sunset.

Vintage examples often combine traditional weaving methods with color compositions associated with Nordic design in the later twentieth century.
