Wooden serving tray designed by Pentti Hanka. Produced in Finland. The tray is made from shaped veneer with a laminated wooden edge.
The interior surface is finished in a warm orange tone.
Design
The silhouette follows a flowing outline with pointed ends and a wider rounded center. The form resembles a rising flame, which gave the tray its name.
A light laminated rim frames the colored surface and defines the contours of the tray. The contrast between the pale wood edge and the orange interior emphasizes the sculptural outline.
The veneer surface shows natural wood grain visible beneath the color finish.
