Object
A set of 3 vintage Ringo glasses designed by Tamara Aladin for Riihimäen Lasi during the 1970s. Clear Finnish modernist glass with a shape that immediately feels active and architectural even in complete transparency.
The design builds itself through movement. Rounded lower part, rising walls, and those pronounced circular bands that catch reflections from every angle.
The series is less common today, especially as a matching set in this condition.

Design
The silhouette combines softness and structure in a very characteristic Nordic way. The thick circular rings around the center create visual rhythm and also make the glasses comfortable to hold.
The transparent glass gives the form full attention. Reflections gather around the curved base and the rings, creating shifting lines depending on surrounding light.
Ringo belongs to the more sculptural side of Finnish everyday glass design of the period.
