Clear art-glass vase from the Tornado series designed by Tamara Aladin for Riihimäen Lasi. This piece carries Aladin’s engraved signature, a feature found almost exclusively in the Tornado line.
Design
The vase is built from stacked circular volumes that widen and narrow in a rhythmic sequence. The profile moves from a solid rounded base to a pronounced central ring and a broad upper disc with an open mouth. The form has a dynamic, almost spiralling silhouette, characteristic of the “Tornado” name, yet remains balanced and sculptural. The clear glass highlights the layered geometry and creates fluid reflections inside the thick walls.
