Gardenia Vase by Erkkitapio Siiroinen | Riihimäen Lasi

Relatively rare Gardenia vase designed by Erkkitapio Siiroinen for Riihimäen Lasi in 1976. The deep dark blue glass and glossy surface give the tall cylindrical form a strong, almost architectural presence.

The design is restrained and precise, with straight sides, a subtly wider upper section and a gently narrower base. Its simple geometry makes the rich dark colour especially prominent. The original white Riihimäen Lasi label remains near the upper edge.

The vase appears in the manufacturer catalogue under form number 1388.
