Vintage vase, designed by Saara Hopea and listed in the 1970 Nuutajärvi catalog, is part of the Näppylä series (Finnish for “bump” or “nodule,” referring to the textured surface pattern). The vase is made of glass with a regular dotted relief that gives it a tactile, rhythmic feel.

With its clean cylindrical shape and distinctive surface, it fits naturally in both vintage Scandinavian and more eclectic interiors. Can be used as a vase or simply as a decorative piece.
Saara Hopea - gifted Finnish female designer and jeweler of the Modernist era in the latter half of the 20th century. She was known for her innovatiave glass art and tableware design in 1950-60s, which now is considered as a Modernist classic pieces.
