This vase was designed by Saara Hopea, one of the leading Finnish designers of the mid-20th century, for Nuutajärvi Glassworks. The piece combines clear cut crystal with a sterling silver foot, marked with Finnish silver hallmarks.
Craftsmanship
The crystal body is decorated with precise vertical and diagonal cuts forming a rhythmic leaf-like pattern. The silver base anchors the design, contrasting the brilliance of the glass with a solid, reflective metal surface.

Condition
Vintage condition consistent with age. Crystal remains clear with sharp cut details. Under UV light or certain angle, faint internal stress lines are visible within the glass, not affecting its integrity - please, refer to the last photo. Silver base shows natural patina.
