Classic Bing & Grøndahl porcelain tea cup and saucer with the hand-painted “Seagull” motif. Tea cups from the Seagull series are considerably rarer than the coffee versions, making them more sought after by collectors. The design features a soft gradient from pale blue to white, adorned with flying seagulls and a delicate scalloped relief along the upper edge. The handle takes the form of a stylized seagull’s head, adding a subtle sculptural accent.
Created by Fanny Garde, one of the first recognized female designers in the history of industrial art, the Seagull series has remained a timeless icon of Danish porcelain for more than 130 years.
Each piece was individually hand-painted and finished with a fine gold rim.
