Classic modernist crystal glass vase Serpentiini (Finnish for serpentine) and artwork designed by Mikko Helander for Humppilan Lasi, Finland, in the 1960s. This iconic form is created by designer Gunnel Nyman on Nuutajärvi glassworks in 1947. Helander was a Nyman's apprentice.
Made by hand in filigree art glass technique.
Design & Materials
The vase contains internal filigree threads forming horizontal lines across the surface. Heavy, solid base with the engraved signature Helander Humppila.
