Riihimäen Lasi, Savoy Series Liquor Glasses, 1940s | Set of 6
Riihimäen Lasi, Savoy Series Liquor Glasses, 1940s | Set of 6
Vintage full set of 6 handmade liquor glasses from the Savoy series produced by Riihimäen Lasi in the 1940s. Although the name “Savoy” is strongly associated with Alvar Aalto’s famous vase, Riihimäki used the same name for a refined glassware line during the same period. These glasses show the elegance and clarity of Finnish glass design.
Design
Each piece is mouth-blown, resulting in small individual variations. The bowl has a clean, gently widening silhouette, paired with a sculpted stem featuring a subtle baluster form. The proportions give the glasses a light, balanced presence despite their compact size.
