Green glass vase from the SH 142 series, designed by Saara Hopea. Model 1416 was produced in 1958 and made in mould blown glass by Nuutajärvi glassworks.
The broad oval body has a particularly simple, architectural profile.

Saara Hopea worked with compact geometric forms and strong coloured glass during the 1950s.
Saara Hopea - gifted Finnish female designer and jeweler of the Modernist era in the latter half of the 20th century. She was known for her innovatiave glass art and tableware design in 1950-60s, which now is considered as a Modernist classic pieces.

Condition
Very good vintage condition with light traces of age. There is one tiny chip on the rim.
