Only one available
Pair of vintage modernist silver earrings designed by Pentti Sarpaneva, Finland, in the early 1970s. Made by Turun Hopea (Turku Silver) jewelry company.
The earrings have a square open pendants, raised silver domes in the centres. Dark patina in the deeper parts brings out the relief and gives the earrings the contrast.
Design and Style
Pentti Sarpaneva is one of the notable names in Finnish jewellery design of the late 20th century. His pieces often use rough texture, oxidised silver, geometric forms and details inspired by archaic metalwork.
These earrings are compact, but visually rich. The open square form keeps them light on the ear, while the layered silver surface gives depth. They work well with simple clothing, black wool, linen, silk, or a plain dress where the shape can be clearly seen.

For Wearing and Collecting
These Pentti Sarpaneva earrings are a fine example of Finnish modernist silver jewellery from the early 1970s. The scale is wearable, but the design has enough presence to stand out. They would suit both a jewellery collection and regular use by someone who likes Nordic silver with character, texture and clear form.
