Vintage hand-blown lidded jar designed in the 1960s by Sirkku Kumela-Lehtonen, the first female chief designer at a Finnish glassworks. Produced by Kumela Glassworks, it represents the pioneering spirit of Finnish modernist design and remains a highly collectible piece of Scandinavian glass art.

Form

Crafted in rich cobalt blue glass, the jar features a cylindrical body with clean, minimal lines, topped with a wide flat rim and a fitted lid crowned by a sculptural round knob. The bold use of color combined with the elegant form creates a timeless piece that is both functional and decorative.
