Four vintage “Joiku” beer and water glasses designed by Tapio Wirkkala for Iittala Glassworks, Finland.
Created in the 1970s–1980s, this model (2107) reflects Wirkkala’s refined approach to everyday glassware.
Design & Form
Each glass has a clean, cylindrical bowl rising from a short solid stem, which flows into a broad, weighty foot with a concave lens like base.
The bottom surface is textured and carved in a circular pattern, giving the glass visual depth and catching the light beautifully when viewed from below.
The proportions and weight distribution create both elegance and a sense of grounded stability, hallmarks of Finnish modernist glass design.
Use & Functionality
Ideal for beer, water or servings of cocktails.
Their clear, tactile form also fits well within mid-century modern and Scandinavian minimalist interiors.
