Overview

Vintage 8 cl glasses from the Tavastia series, designed by Tapio Wirkkala for Iittala. The model has a clear, calm silhouette with a tall cylindrical bowl and a solid sculptural foot. 

Tavastia takes its name from a historical province of Finland, and the series has the direct, grounded character.

Design

The glass is made in clear glass with a substantial foot and a raised lower section that catches light beautifully. From the side it looks restrained and architectural; from below, the thick glass creates deep optical rings and reflections.
