Pair of elegant Kosta Boda trumpet vases, handmade in Sweden. Designed for a single flower or orchid, they combine unusually slender stems with heavy rounded glass bases and wide trumpet shaped openings.
The two different heights make the vases especially appealing as a pair.

These vases are fine examples of Kosta Boda glass made with close attention to balance and proportion. The considerable weight is concentrated in the rounded base, while the central section is remarkably narrow and delicate.
The designer may possibly be Kjell Engman, although the attribution has not been confirmed.
