Overview
Vintage Nordic pendant lamp from the 1970s to 1980s, made in white metal and opal glass. The lamp has a wide, flat metal shade above a layered glass diffuser, creating a clean architectural profile with soft downward light.
The design follows the classic Scandinavian idea of glare free lighting: the bulb is hidden inside the structure, while the lower opal glass shades spread the light gently and evenly. Its proportions are close to the PH 4/3 model by Poul Henningsen for Louis Poulsen, with a similar focus on layered shades and calm functional geometry.
Design and Light
The broad white metal top shade gives the lamp a light floating appearance. Below it, the opal glass elements soften the light and make the lamp pleasant above a dining table, kitchen table, desk or reading corner.
The all white finish keeps the form quiet and versatile. It works well in Nordic modern interiors, minimalist rooms, vintage Scandinavian settings and spaces where the lighting should be visually present without becoming heavy.
